Strategic Asset Management

The public sector is responsible for fixed assets with a value of around £900 billion.  These assets are of vital strategic performance both at a local level in terms of public services and nationally as key economic drivers.

Asset management is a set of tools that can be used to deliver direct financial benefits such as capital receipts, improved utilisation of working spaces and practices (including cross-sector service delivery) and achieve wider aims such as service transformation and economic and social regeneration.  Whilst the basic principles involve the optimal allocation of resources to deliver strategic goals, putting the approach into practice can be very challenging. 

We help our clients to examine their assets and the way in which they currently manage issues such as maintenance, disposal and acquisition.  A strategic approach requires a proper definition of need and we look to build a picture of the shape of future service delivery.
