Network Board Facilitation

Happold Consulting was appointed to the Highways Agency’s Network Board for Managing Area Contract (MAC) Area 6 in 2007, and subsequently to Area 9 in 2009.  These areas represent two of the 12 Highways Agency regions in England, and the board has been established to oversee the delivery of highways services contracts with a value in excess of £700m. This appointment came as a result of successful procurement facilitation projects by Happold Consulting for the two areas.

Our role is to provide guidance and direction to the Network Board and challenge, motivate and mediate between the two partners - the client and the supplier - from a position of independence, in order to facilitate better decision making by the board, and to promote team building amongst the board members.  Happold Consulting will also provide advice, support and training of board members across a range of issues such as contract management, benchmarking and performance management.
