Dorset County Council

Happold Consulting has worked in partnership with Dorset County Council since 2000.  Our partnership became a government pathfinder project due to the innovations and contractual arrangement between the parties.  Our work with Dorset has been diverse and covers numerous service areas such as highways, property and waste management. One of our most recent assignments was providing advice on options for procurement of a private sector partner to the Council’s in-house works department.

Looking to the future, the Council is hosting the 2012 Olympic Sailing event which necessitates undertaking major improvements to their road system.  We are providing procurement advice and contract support for a £80m new road scheme.
