Helen Richardson has been with Buro Happold for nine years, prior to which she worked for a mixture of public and private sector organisations.

She has 15 years experience, and has previously worked for East Sussex County Council, Mott MacDonald and Steer Davies Gleave. Helen has worked on a variety of UK and overseas projects whilst at Buro Happold.

Helen has extensive knowledge of performance management and has provided advice to the Highways Agency on its approach to the auditing of its MAC contracts. She is also experienced in procurement of highways services and is currently a technical advisor to Southampton City Council in its outsourcing of the highways department. Helen also advises on processes within the workplace including identifying efficiencies.

Other projects include the redevelopment of the campus for Bucks New University in High Wycombe, the transport and highways support for the redevelopment and refurbishment of 10 schools in Aberdeen, a number of masterplanning projects in the Middle East and multi-modal transport strategies for Dorset County Council. Helen has also worked on the public realm improvements for Tahliyah and Falasteen Streets in Jeddah.
