Andy is a commercial and contracts manager with experience in a wide variety of sectors including utilities, waste, highways and general construction. A civil engineer with a background of 30 years in industry, over 15 years at management level, Andy has an in depth understanding of capital, revenue and operational needs. His wide ranging practical experience runs from procurement strategy through project management and supervision to final delivery. His vocational qualifications include commercial, project, construction and safety management.

Since joining Happold Consulting Andy has provided support to clients in the procurement of a number of major contracts for civil engineering and construction services including carrying out a range of option studies and business improvement initiatives. He also provides support and advice in claims consultancy and mediation / negotiation on behalf of our clients.

Andy has extensive commercial management experience of a wide range of contract conditions and joint venture, alliance and partnering arrangements including the change and interim management practices to successfully implement new working practices.
